TRICYCLOHEXYLPHOSPHINE OXIDE - Introduction

Trityclohexylphosphine oxide, also known as 2,4, 6-tris (methyl) phenoxytricyclohexylphosphine, is an organophosphorus compound. The following is a description of its nature, use, formulation and safety information:

Nature:
-Appearance: tricyclohexylphosphine oxide is a colorless to pale yellow powdery solid.
-Melting point: about 120-123 degrees Celsius.
-Solubility: It has good solubility in common organic solvents.
-Stability: tricyclohexylphosphine oxide is stable under usual storage conditions.

Use:
-Catalyst: tricyclohexylphosphine oxide can be used as a ligand of iron catalyst to participate in a series of organic synthesis reactions, such as catalytic hydrogenation, coupling reactions, etc.
-Flame retardant: Due to its high phosphorus content, tricyclohexylphosphine oxide can be used as a flame retardant to improve the flame retardant properties of the material.
-Metal organic chemistry: tricyclohexylphosphine oxide can be used as an intermediate of metal organic chemical reagents and participate in the synthesis of metal organic compounds.

Preparation Method:
Tricyclohexylphosphine oxide can be prepared by phenoxylation. Specifically, tricyclohexylmagnesium bromide is reacted with lithium phenoxide to obtain tricyclohexylmagnesium phenoxide, and then reacted with phosphorous chloride to generate tricyclohexylphosphine phenoxide, and finally tricyclohexylphosphine oxide is obtained by hydrolysis or acid treatment.
